Proof That It Works

From one prison to many. From a pilot to a movement.

In less than two years, Ustawi Network has expanded from a single pilot to active implementation across maximum security facilities with institutional support.

Graduate Voices

Transformation in their own words.

For the first time, I understand the pain I caused. I can't undo it, but I can commit to being different.

Graduate, Kibos Maximum Prison

This programme gave me tools I never had — to manage my emotions, to understand consent, to see victims as real people with real pain.

A Day of Dignity

When transformation meets recognition.

Picture this: a maximum security prison in Kisumu County. Thirty men in prison uniforms receive certificates of completion while officials applaud not just progress, but courage. It was not just a graduation. It was a declaration that rehabilitation works and communities are safer when we invest in transformation rather than incarceration alone.

Looking Ahead

2026 will be our most ambitious year yet.

  • Facilitate SOTP in 30 correctional facilities across Kenya.
  • Train 150 correctional officers as in-house facilitators.
  • Strengthen post-release reintegration: family mediation, economic support, and counselling.
  • Launch the Elderly Inmates Support Programme (EISP).
  • Start mentorship programmes in schools, colleges, and universities.

These goals are within reach - with the right partners.
